Scope of work
Surveying, modelling and quantity tracking during construction, supporting excavation, valuation and the recording of completed works.
Developed a zoning model that links bill-of-quantities items to their intended work areas, making quantities and progress easier to track.
Pre-construction support included investigating supplied borehole logs and creating 3D surfaces from proposed material depths, using volumetrics to support estimating and site evaluation.
Work delivered
- 3D machine-control models for excavation and valuation.
- Material-depth surfaces and volume calculations supporting pre-construction assessment.
- A zoning model for tracking work against the bill of quantities.
- Identification and resolution of issues before they developed into wider construction problems.
- Site surveys and as-built records as construction progressed.
- Excel trackers recording material quantities and movements across the project.
- Stockpile quantity assessments.
- Use of drone-survey data for ongoing quantity assessment and site evaluation.
